The organization, founded in 1955, provides members with many opportunities for professional growth and networking with other professionals. The purpose of this association is to provide a stimulating contact with outstanding personalities in all areas of Family and Consumer Sciences, thus providing an opportunity to grow as individuals through the organization and to promote Family and Consumer Sciences as a profession.
Monthly programs for members are offered from September through May. Currently, members have the opportunity to obtain Act 48 hours when attending meetings.
In addition, since 1981, this Association has awarded one or more scholarships yearly to high school seniors who will study Family and Consumer Sciences at an accredited school.
